वाहनचालकांना करावी लागतेय कसरत

उरण : तालुक्यातील सार्वजनिक बांधकाम खात्याच्या अखत्यारित असणाऱ्या चिर्ले ते दिघोडे रस्त्यावर मोठ्या प्रमाणात अवजड वाहतूक होत असल्याने जीवघेणे खड्डे निर्माण झाले आहेत. यामुळे छोट्या वाहनचालकांचा अपघात होण्याची दाट शक्यता निर्माण झाली आहे. त्‍यामुळे अटल सेतू वरुन मुंबई – कोकणाकडे जाणाऱ्या या रस्त्याची दुरुस्‍ती करावी, अशी मागणी प्रवाशांकडून करण्यात येत आहे.
उरण परिसरातील विद्यार्थी आणि नोकरीनिमित्ताने प्रवास करणाऱ्या चाकरमानी नेहमी दिघोडे-चिर्ले या रस्त्याचा वापर करत आहेत.तसेच मुंबईकडून अटल सेतूवरुन कोकणाकडे जाणारे पर्यटक, चाकरमानी हे ही दिघोडे – चिर्ले या रस्त्यावरून प्रवास करत आहेत. या रस्त्यावर मोठ्या प्रमाणावर अवजड वाहनांची मोठ्या प्रमाणात वर्दळ वाढली आहे. या रस्त्यावर खड्डे पडले असून सदर खड्डे अद्याप बुजविण्यात आलेले नाहीत. त्‍यामुळे या रस्त्यावर धुळकण हवेत उडत असल्याने वाहनचालकांना मोठी कसरत करावी लागत आहे. खड्ड्यांमुळे अपघाताची भीतीदेखील व्‍यक्‍त करण्यात येत आहे.तरी अटल सेतू वरुन मुंबई – कोकणाकडे जाणाऱ्या या मार्गाची सार्वजनिक बांधकाम विभागाने दुरुस्‍ती करावी, अशी मागणी प्रवाशांकडून करण्यात येत आहे.
उरण शहर तसेच मुंबई, नवीमुंबई शहराला जोडणारा चिर्ले ते दिघोडे हा महत्त्वाचा रस्ता आहे. अटल सेतूमुळे मोठ्या प्रमाणात सदर रस्त्यावरुन पर्यटकांची रेलचेल वाढली आहे. त्यात रात्री अपरात्री मोठ्या प्रमाणात अवजड वाहनांची वर्दळ असल्याने सदर रस्त्यावर खड्डे पडले असून धुळकण हवेत उडत आहेत. यातून मार्गक्रमण करणाऱ्या छोट्या वाहनांना अपघात होण्याचा धोका निर्माण झाला आहे. तरी अटल सेतूसाठी महत्वाचा असलेल्या सदर रस्त्याचे रुंदीकरण व काँक्रीटीकरण करण्याचे काम सार्वजनिक बांधकाम विभागाने हाती घ्यावे.

Dr Dhruv and Dr Poorvi(Bharati)Dhruv were very close friends and classmates of my husband Dr Prakash Nakhwa.We both being Obstetrician and Gynaecolosgist [OBGY]in Uran since 1986.
Nishith & Bharati were Prakash ‘s classmates from G.S.Medical College, KEM Hospital,Parel, Mumbai. They too started practice in Roha ,Nishth’s birthplace., in 1983.
Though Dr Nishith was Surgeon ,
he too had to treat patients beyond his speciality ie conduct complicated Deliveries(Those times 90-95% women deliverd at home but remaining 5-10% were taken to Hospital when Dai gave up and patient was counting last breaths of her life)and accept Serious cases of Heart Attack, Paralysis, Suicidal Tik 20 poisoining ,Horrible Road Accidents, fractures in addition to his own planned surgical work.
Exactly same situation me and Prakash were experiencing in Uran because JNPT was being constucted and Dumper Accidents,badly injured labours /Civilians; Obstructed Delivery cases of Women Labourers were flooding our Nakhwa Hospital in addition to our own planned Registered cases of OBGY.
We met regularly in Class Reuions and other social Functions in Mumbai as that was the only excuse we were given by our loving patients to leave station!.
I met this vibrant couple in Alibag Reunion in 2024 February. Dr Dhruv s always carried loving gift of 1 kg Pohe from Roha and 1 kg Poha Papad for every delegate. So as a couple we got 2 kg each of the tasty gifts.
Last year they had to get second car with driver because it was 50 th Reunion of the class and No of delegates was maximum..Almost 10 huge gunny bagful of most tasty but fragile Cargo had to be handles very very carefully.
Pohe and papad reached all over the world with delegates and whenever the dishes were cooked tempting mouth watering pictures were shared on the group only to strengthen bonds of Friendship of 50 yrs.
Both Nishith and Bharati were very good Garba dancer s, I learned lot of steps from them on the banquet night.
They one the price for Best Dressed Best Dancer Couple that night.
Roha has lost it’s most loving, simple at heart and thought ,hard working exellant Surgeon today.
We both lost a close benovoulant friend who faced all odds of Rural Practice of Four decades along with us and still kept up humility on his ever smiling face.
We miss you Nishith.We both pray to God to give courage & shresth to Bharati and family to be without Nishith.
May Nishith attain Sadgati.
